Residents of Mumbai cannot venture beyond 2-kms from their residence except for essential purposes. On June 28, Mumbai Police urged the residents of Mumbai to restrict their movement within a two-km radius of their homes non-essential activities to help curb the spread of coronavirus. Movement beyond a 2km radius is permitted to office-goers and in the case of medical emergencies.

The police department had also stated that a lawful action would be taken against the violators of guidelines.
