Lav Agarwal, joint secretary in the health ministry, said at a daily press briefing that 80 per cent of people suffering from COVID 19 are asymptomatic or show mild symptoms out of which 15 per cent cases turn into severe cases and 5 per cent may become critical, so as a precautionary measure it is necessary to maintain social distancing as these patients may spread the virus easily to other people coming in contact with them.
The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
