The government of Maharashtra extended lockdown restrictions til 31 July, 2020.With the rise in coronavirus infected cases in the state, the Government of Maharashtra issued new guidelines titled- 'Mission Begin Again.' An order was issued by the Chief Secretary said, movement of individuals to remain strictly prohibited between 9 pm to 5 am except for essential activities. Wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing, restricted gatherings, and other measures shall continue to prevail. Private offices can operate with up to 10 percent strength or ten people whichever is more. Religious places, hotels, and restaurants will remain closed across the state. Except for malls and market complexes, all essential and non-essential shops will be allowed to open from 9 am to 5 pm. Self-employed people like electricians, garage mechanics, plumbers are allowed to work in Mumbai municipal regions. The printing and distribution of newspapers (including home delivery), and barber shops, spas, beauty parlors will be allowed to work on state government conditions.

Anyone who violates the new guidelines will be booked under legal provisions as applicable, and they will be penalized. This order will remain in force until 31 July 2020.
