A post circulating on social media claiming that a lady burned her hands due to the alcohol in her hand sanitizer is actually a hoax.

A post circulating on social media claiming that a lady burned her hands due to the alcohol in her hand sanitizer is actually a hoax.Hand sanitizers which are approximately 60% alcohol by volume, are flammable. However, alcohol in alcohol-based hand sanitizers evaporates completely when we rub it all over our hands, therefore eliminating the risk of one burning themselves. The picture which has gone viral on social media is actually of a burn victim whose forearm was harvested for skin grafts.
