These hexacopter drones were used by BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) to disinfect the Bengaluru city from coronavirus pandemic. Neel added that the machine could spray the chemicals to up to three acres in one battery.

The other developers and operators of the drone were Nishanth Murali (civil engineer), Vinay Kumar (an aeronautical engineer), and Naga Praveen (an electronic engineer).

Bangalore Mirror reports that the six hexacopter drones were deployed by BBMP to disinfect the city. Neel said that the hexacopter with six propellers could cover an area of about six meters per second.
