U.S President Donald Trump signed an order on March of 27, 2020 authorising the Department of Defense and Homeland Security to activate National Guard and reservists to support the nationwide response to the coronavirus pandemic. The order ensures military service of 2 years to fight against the coronavirus in the U.S and to help America's healthcare system. Trump also added that the order would allow the U.S. to mobilize medical, disaster, and emergency response personnel to help fight the virus, which has sickened more than 100,000 people around the country.
Moreover, according to a US Congressional Library document, upon a presidential proclamation of a national emergency, the government could call up to one million of reserve soldiers for active duty for almost 24 months.
