The tweet by Bongbong Marcos and the article ABS-CBN News include conflicting statements given by him and his family about the COVID-19 test results.Bongbong Marcos had tweeted an image on 26 March 2020 which mentions that he was not well and as a result, he went to get checked. It also says that he had been waiting for the results.

According to the ABS-CBN News article, the Marcos family and their employees decided to take the coronavirus test after Mr Marcos' trip to Spain. His wife Liza said that the family and the staff had tested negative, but Marcos had posted a similar photo on his Twitter account saying that he had not yet received his results. Also, he had not mentioned his family and the entire staff undergoing testing for the coronavirus.

ABS-CBN News says that it had reached out to the Marcos camp to clarify the conflicting statements, but the Macros family had not responded to messages.
