They announced the government's decision to seek a trust vote at the Congress Legislature Party meeting chaired by Ashok Gehlot, his former deputy Sachin Pilot. The session comes after a month-long political crisis in the state, which started when Sachin Pilot and other eighteen Congress MLAs openly rebelled against the Chief Minister. Gehlot has the support of at least 107 MLAs in the 200-member House, while opposition BJP has 72 MLAs.
After winning the trust vote, Gehlot, in his Twitter, posted a message for his opponents, saying that his victory is a message against those trying to destabilize state governments ruled by the opposition.
