PUBG Mobile is to shut down all access and servers in India from October 30, 2020.On October 29, PUBG Mobile announced that Tencent Games, the existing publishing and distribution partner of the game in India, would terminate all service and access for Indian users to both PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. Shutting down of servers means the games would no longer be available to the existing users who had downloaded it before the national ban of the game and other 117 apps over security concerns on September 2.

Announcing the termination of services on Facebook, PUBG Mobile said that protecting user data had always been a top priority and that they have always complied with applicable data protection laws and regulations in India. It added that all users' gameplay information was processed in a transparent manner as disclosed in their privacy policy.
