The privacy policy of PubG on July 22, 2020, stated that the Indian user's data are stored in the servers located in India.PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds(PUBG), an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, has introduced a new change in the privacy policy for its Indian users. The revised privacy policy of PubG mobile clarifies that Indian player's data would be stored in India. The local servers located in the country would collect the data of all Indian players. It added further that there is dedicated support, engineering, and other teams located in India to support the Indian users.

The data collected is shared with third parties like cloud services for data backup to handle support ticketing and fraud detection. This policy is changed after the Indian government was screening 275 more apps of China, including PubG. India had already blocked 59 apps, followed by 47 more cones.
