A strict lockdown has been imposed in Yuzhou of Henan province of China after three cases of COVID-19 were discovered.
As China tries to stamp the outbreaks by implementing a zero covid approach, three new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Yuzhou city. The local officials ordered all residents to stay inside and asked the communities to post sentries at gates. The harsh lockdown was announced as China prepares to host the Winter Olympics next month. Around 1.2 million residents of Yuzhou are confined inside their homes as schools, public transport, and shopping malls are all closed.
