Agricultural exports of India grew by17.34 percent to touch a record $41.25 billion in 2020-21.The exports of agriculture and allied products increased compared to the last 3 years as India gained market access to many countries. Cereals, non-basmati rice, wheat, millets, maize, and other coarse grains saw huge growth, and the export of spices that have therapeutic qualities grew substantially.

The commerce ministry said the exports had taken place from several clusters from across the country, and efforts are made to increase market access for Indian products. For 3 years, the exports were stagnant, but it has increased by 22.62 percent during 2020-21, amounting to Rs. 3.05 lakh crore as compared to Rs. 2.49 lakh crore during 2019-20.
