A woman was charged for breaking Ganesha idols in Bahrain on August 16, 2020.The video of a woman in burqa throwing the Lord Ganesha idol on the floor one by one has gone viral. The incident took place at a supermarket in the Juffair district of Bahrain's capital Manama. The Diplomatic Advisor to the King of Bahrain has condemned it, and the Ministry of Interior has said that the Director-General of Capital Governorate Police has summoned the woman for intentionally damaging Hindu religious idols and confirmed that legal proceedings were in progress.
