China sent masks made out of underwear to Pakistan.

Several media reports support the claim that China sent masks made of underwear to Pakistan.

Several media reports support the claim that China sent masks made of underwear to Pakistan. In a bit to help Pakistan, China made a commitment to provide top-quality N95 masks and testing kits to Pakistan to help the country deal with the coronavirus outbreak. However, many news agencies reported that the masks which were sent were made using underwear. Moreover, a local Pakistani news stated "China ne chuna laga diya" (China conned us) and that the Sindh provincial government sent the masks to hospitals without checking the shipment.

This is not the first time China has come under fire for providing sub-standard or defective medical equipment. The Nepal government scrapped a major deal for coronavirus testing kits and protective gears signed with a private Chinese company after finding them be of sub-standard quality.
