The claim is false. The response of Pence in his Vice Presidential debate on the Taylor's case led to different assertions.
This claim surfaced from the first Vice Presidential debate took place on October 8 between Vice President Mike Pence and Sen. Kamala Harris. In the debate, both the candidates were questioned if justice was done in the case of Breonna Taylor. To which Pence answered, saying that their heart breaks for the loss of any innocent American life, and he continued by showing sympathy to Breonna Taylor's family. Then he stated that Pence trust their justice system and the grand jury that reviewed the evidence. In the end, he said that the Republicans don't have to choose between supporting law enforcement, providing public safety, and supporting our African American neighbors and all other minorities.
In March, Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old emergency room technician in Louisville, Kentucky, was shot and killed after police officers executing a search warrant on a narcotics investigation broke into her apartment. The grand jury did not charge any officers for their role in Taylor’s death. Only one officer was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
However, the case is still under questionable circumstances and the investigation is still ongoing. The case does not involve Mike pence in any way as per the sources. Thus, he has not been charged with the murder of Breonna Taylor.
