The Deputy Commissioner of Harazibagh confirmed that five Brahmins in quarantine did refuse to eat food prepared by a scheduled caste person.People returning from different states had been quarantined as a precautionary measure against COVID-19 infection in the Bishnugarh block of the Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand. Five migrant Brahmins staying at the quarantine center refused to eat food cooked by a scheduled caste person. They were given dry ration kits by the district officials after consulting with the village head.

The Jharkhand Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Harazibagh acknowledged it as it was brought to their attention on Twitter, and the DC termed it as a baseless case.
