The history of the Ottoman Empire on the History website and the official website of the Nintendo company supports the claim.Nintendo on its history page states that in 1889 Fusajiro Yamauchi started manufacturing Hanafuda (flower cards) Japanese playing cards in Kyoto, whereas in 1951 the name of the company was changed to Nintendo Playing Card Co. Ltd. At that time the Ottoman Sultanate rule was present and the Ottoman Empire had existed.
A total of 36 Sultans ruled the Ottoman Empire between 1299 and 1922. The empire officially was ended in 1922 when the Ottoman sultanate was abolished and Turkey was declared a republic.
