Catholic Priest impregnated 30 nuns in Malawi.

National Catholic Reporter (NCR) reported that a Catholic priest had impregnated 29 Nuns in Malawi, but it is impossible for us to verify this claim.

National Catholic Reporter (NCR) reported that a Catholic priest had impregnated 29 Nuns in Malawi, but it is impossible for us to verify this claim. In 1988 in Malawi, Africa, a local priest was alleged to have impregnated 29 nuns from the diocese. The National Catholic Reporter (NCR) ran a report on the matter, stating that some Catholic clergy exploited their financial and spiritual power to sleep with the young nuns. Sometimes, the NCR continued, priests demanded sex from nuns when they requested to work in a specific diocese. HIV and AIDS played a factor too, as nuns were apparently seen as "safe targets". Pope Francis has also publicly acknowledged that the Catholic Church has had persistent problems with priests and bishops sexually abusing nuns.

With regards to this claim specifically, it could well be true that there was a priest who impregnated 30 women in Malawi. However, it is impossible for us to confirm the paternity of individuals.
