The Meteorological Department had issued yellow alert in some parts of Karnataka for one day on Nov. 26. Nivar cyclone was expected to turn into a storm in the south interior parts of Karnataka. A yellow alert was issued in 7 districts of Karnataka for Nov 26. Some areas of Bengaluru, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Kolar, Tumkur, Mandya, and Ramanagar, were expected to receive moderate rainfall due to the impact of the Nivar cyclone. The Director of IMD confirmed the Meteorological Centre's warning in Bengaluru and said the coastal areas would receive moderate rainfall for a couple of days.
