Akshay Kumar has confirmed that he has a Canadian passport and only Canadian nationals are allowed to own one of their passports.
According to the Indian Passport Rules of 1980, Rule 13 states that a person can hold only one country's passport(refer page number 2). Unless a person surrenders his/her passport to the passport authority he or she is not entitled to Indian passport.
Canada allows for Dual citizenship but the Constitution of India prevents Indian citizens from holding dual citizenship as stated in Article 9 of the constitution of India or Section 8 of The Citizenship Act, 1955. Article 9 of the Constitution of India states that no person shall be a citizen of India if he has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of any foreign State. So you cannot hold a passport of any other country if you hold an Indian Passport.
