It has mentioned that the article was first published in a French news website Le Gorafi.

Le Gorafi in its about page claims that all articles reported in its site were false, and written with a humorous purpose. The use of names of personalities or companies was purely satirical.

Therefore, the article about pirates attacking a tanker en route to the UK and seizing the hand sanitizer is false.
