Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had clarified that the ongoing lockdown restrictions would continue beyond June 30, 2020, amid COVID-19.In an address to the state on June 28, 2020, Thackeray said that there would be some restrictions in Maharashtra after June 30, and easing of lockdown relaxations will happen gradually. He emphasized on maintaining discipline and following orders as COVID-19 cases are still being reported in large numbers. Further, he also informed that he had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Abhiyaan so that Maharashtra can continue supplying food grains to the poor at low prices.
