Mukesh Ambani stood at number 12 on Bloomberg Billionaires Index on Jan 13, 2021, with a $75.4 billion net worth. Reliance Industries chairman and managing director, Mukesh Ambani’s ranking have gone down on the world's richest billionaires list. However, Ambani continues to be India's richest person, according to an ET Now News report. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires daily Index, Ambani was the world’s 13th richest person in the world on Jan 9, 2021. According to the ranking, his current net worth, which was close to $90 billion earlier this year, fell down to $73.4 billion on Jan 9. However, he jumped to the 12th position on Jan 13, with a net worth increasing to $75.5 billion.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk stood at the top with $194 billion, followed by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos with $183 billion and American business magnate Bill Gates at the 3rd position from the top with $133 billion.

In Aug 2020, Ambani stood to the fourth position in Bloomberg’s world billionaire ranking. However, his net worth fell after the recent correction in RIL shares.

Over the last three months, RIL shares have declined nearly 14% and 18.3% from its all-time high, after the company announced that it would buy retail and wholesale assets of the Future group, reported ET Now News. However, the company’s shares started falling after U.S. e-commerce giant Amazon challenged its deal with Future group.
