AYUSH Secretary asks non-Hindi speaking participants to leave the webinar meet.

AYUSH Secretary Rajesh Kotecha said he asked those participants to leave the meeting who were being notorious urging him to speak in English only.

AYUSH Secretary Rajesh Kotecha said he asked those participants to leave the meeting who were being notorious urging him to speak in English only. A series of webinars on yoga training sessions were organized across the country by the Ministry of AYUSH. On the last day of the training program handled by the Secretary of AYUSH, Rajesh Kotecha, a video from a part of his speech, had been circulated on the social media platform. The footage showed him asking the participants to leave the webinar if they were unable to understand Hindi. He had also claimed that he would continue to talk in Hindi as he was not fluent in English. These statements by him had triggered a row among the citizens who accused him of imposing Hindi.

However, Kotecha confirmed to the media houses that his words were in response to the uninvited participants, continually provoking him to talk only in English despite using both languages. He said while the web link for the program had been sent to 350 invited participants, 430 participants turned up. He had further remarked that the circulated video had been manipulated.

The original video of the webinar could not be accessed for further clarification.
