The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports that 1,300 scientists from the United States and other countries, forecasts a temperature rise of 2.5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit over the next century.

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will host the Climate Action Summit on 23 September 2019 in New York and asked all G7 members to find a way to tackle backdrop of a “dramatic climate emergency”, according to UN News on 26 August 2019.
