The COVID-19 patients moved from one hospital to another due to the shortage of beds for treatment. Patients were waiting in the ambulances for hours.COVID-19 cases are on the rise in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, as the state witnessed a tally of over 2,000 positive cases for two consecutive days. Due to the rising number of patients, the CMO's (Chief Medical Officer) office is unable to attend to all the patients on time. Protocol says that, if a patient's result turns out to be positive, they need to get medical attention within 2 hours. Due to the scarcity of hospital beds, many patients are left unattended in Lucknow, and some are even spending hours in the ambulance to find a suitable hospital for seeking the necessary medical help. Some patients are also being referred to private hospitals only too be turned down due to a lack of hospital beds. This resulted in patients having to spend over eight hours in an ambulance looking for a suitable hospital. Reports also suggest that many people are not reporting to the CMO's office, and those who indeed reported, are made to wait for up to two days until the medical team responded to the distress call.
