Ramachandra Guha and several other prominent personalities participated in the protest against the arrest of activist Disha Ravi.Disha Ravi, a 21-year-old climate activist and a founding member of Fridays For Future India, was arrested by Delhi Police from Bengaluru for her alleged involvement in the toolkit case. According to the police, Ravi edited the toolkit and shared it with others intending to tarnish India's image. Ravi is actively involved in climate issues and has coordinated protests in different parts of the country.

This action has been condemned by several people who are demanding Ravi's immediate release. Activists from various organizations took part in a demonstration to express their support for Ravi. Historian Ramachandra Guha also joined the protest and spoke on the occasion. He said that the central government acted like a dictator and alleged that people are arrested if they support farmers or protest climate change. He also said there are more chances of getting arrested if someone protested peacefully for democracy, human rights, or environmental sustainability like farmers and climate change. Other protesters accused Delhi police and the central government of following unethical ways in arresting Disha.
