The complete lockdown was unlocked in phases from June 8, 2020. The government has not announced any lockdowns that would be imposed again in India. With the rising COVID-19 cases each day, rumors about a stringent lockdown are resurfacing into Whatapp groups and social media posts. There is no recent announcement from the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that India would go under a complete lockdown from October 22, 2020. India went under a total lockdown in March, and in June, it was lifted in a phase-wise manner. The lockdown has continued in several containment zones with some relaxations to revive the economy. Even though India is currently listed in third place in the total number of COVID-19 positive cases after America and Brazil, there are no official announcements that India would go on lockdown again in October.
