Franklin County Board of Elections has decided to replace 49,669 inaccurate ballots and allot only one proper ballot for every voter.Trump has long opposed voting by mail and suggested that the 2020 general elections may be rigged as 50,000 people in Ohio got erroneous absentee ballots through the mail. In reply, the county elections board said that it determined nearly 49,669 voters received incorrect absentee ballots in the mail due to a glitch. It said the ballot error was a mistake that came through a technology malfunction as a high-speed scanner stopped working.
The election board added that there are various safeguards to make sure no one voted twice, and every vote would be counted. They also made clear that every voter who received an inaccurate ballot will receive a corrected ballot.
The votes cannot be termed fraudulent as they have not been cast in the elections, and informational postcards to all impacted voters have been sent.
