He was born as a conjoined twin, his twin brother who consisted of a leg and a set of genitals, attached to Francesco’s spine. His condition of three legs, four feet, sixteen toes and two sets of functioning male genitals was the result of a second embryo that began to develop in the womb which could not separate from its twin.
