An article published by the AFP states that the French economy falls around six per cent in the first quarter in 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic decimated business activity. Further, the report states that the French central bank said that in the last two weeks of March 2020, as the coronavirus crisis deepened, economic activity slowed 32 per cent which shows the country is technically in recession.
