The Atal Setu Bridge was opened by the J&K administration to ease the pressure on the Lakhanpur corridor.The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on September 8, 2020, got its second entry route as authorities in Kathua district of Jammu division opened the historic Atal Setu bridge. The bridge connects the Basholi subdivision of Kathua with Dunera of Punjab. The government official said that the bridge was closed after the imposition of lockdown due to coronavirus in March. The bridge has been thrown open as part of Unlock 4.0 guidelines after reviewing the situation to ease the traffic pressure on the other corridor at Lakhanpur. However, the entry will be restricted at first and will be eased gradually.
