A total of 9 people died in Kashmir division due to COVID-19 on July 2, 2020.The union territory of Jammu and Kashmir reported 10 COVID-19 deaths on July 2. Among the 10, 9 were from Kashmir and one from Jammu. Kashmir had reported 134 new positive cases on the same day, and 80 patients recovered and had been discharged from various hospitals. Until July 2, the total no of COVID-19 deaths and positive cases recorded in Kashmir was 101, and 7849 respectively.
