Gujarat was under a 57-hour curfew while four cities in the state have imposed night curfews. But the government has ruled out a statewide lockdown.
However, rumors about the statewide lockdown were dismissed by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, stating that there were no plans of imposing a complete lockdown in the state. He had further urged people to follow the 57-hour curfew to control the sudden spike of the virus. Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar Gupta also ruled out any plans of fresh lockdowns in the state apart from night curfew.
