The articles published by the Kashmir Media Service and the Radio Pakistan confirms the claim.According to an article published by the Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has written a letter to the president of the United Nations Security Council and the United Nations secretary-general to convey Pakistan’s rejection of the “bifurcation” of occupied Kashmir and highlighted the continued violation of human rights by Indian forces.

According to the Kashmir Media Service, an official statement was issued by the Pakistan Foreign Office on 18 November 2019 which states that at Pakistan’s request the Foreign Minister’s letter that had been sent on 31 October 2019 has been circulated to the United Nation's membership as an official document of the Security Council.

However, the official press release by the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot be accessed at the current time.
