White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany had tweeted that she has tested positive for the COVID-19 after Trump contracted the virus on Oct. 3.Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement that after testing negative consistently since October 1, she tested positive for COVID-19 on October 5 and didn't have any symptoms. She added that no reporters, producers, or press members are listed as close contacts by the White House Medical Unit. Moreover, McEnany acknowledged that she did not know that Hope Hicks, one of the president's closest aides, tested positive for COVID-19 before holding a White House press briefing on October 1. As of now, she is in quarantine and would continue working remotely. Further, the White House Correspondents Association, in a statement, offered sympathy to McEnany.
