The Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre of COVID-19 Care Centre was not functional as of July 20, 2020It is the country’s biggest COVID-19 care center situated in Tumakuru Road, with 10,100 beds and all necessary amenities. On July 10, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa said that as the number of cases increased in Bengaluru, the state government was making all attempts to control the disease, and arrangements were being made to treat the infected people at the center within a week.

Leader of opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah visited the center on July 21 to review the facility and reported that the facility is incomplete. The Hindu reported that it might be functional by August 2020.
