Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) provides free food to over 1,59,500 pilgrims daily.According to TTD, in 1985, Venkateswara Nithya Annadanam Endowment Scheme was started in Tirupati by T.T. Devasthanams. This organization runs on donations received from devotees and donors from all over the world. The trust is serving devotees by providing beverages and annaprasadams in Tirupati, Tirumala, and Tiruchanoor.

An average of 1,50,000 pilgrims have annaprasadam daily, and during the weekend, the number of pilgrims reaches 2,05,000. During special occasions like New year, Vaikunta Ekadasi, Rathasapthami, and T.T Garuda Seva, the trust severs more than 2,00,000 devotees.
