China confirms human-to-human transmission of Wuhan virus as the World Health Organization (WHO) announces emergency meeting on 22 January 2020.

The Chinese officials also said that 41 cases with novel coronavirus infection have been preliminarily diagnosed in Wuhan City on 11 and 12 January 2020 respectively.

Director-General of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in a re-tweet on 20 January 2020, said that he will be convening an Emergency Committee to learn whether the novel coronavirus creates a public health emergency of international concern on 22 January 2020.

According to a Youtube video by CNA, the Chinese authorities in a press conference on 22 January 2020 stated that the Chinese science experts considered the disease is transmitted through human to human. (Video Reference: 1:27)
