A video is circulating on social media with a message that the Armenians shot down an Azerbaijani MiG-25 in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Azerbaijani pilot did more than one maneuver to strike the Armenian air defense forces' ground defenses and claims that a fierce war is in progress.

Through our analysis, we found that the video is from a military combat game – Arma 3. One of the Japanese YouTubers uploaded a similar video from the video game on Aug. 22, 2020. The video has identical background settings, including the streetlight/ electric pole. Furthermore, the sound of the bullet firing is similar.

On Oct. 3, 2020, TASS, a Russian News agency, also reported that the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied the reports that the Armenians shot down an Azerbaijani MiG-25.

Therefore, we conclude that the Armenians did not shot down an Azerbaijani MiG-25 in Nagorno-Karabakh.
