High radiation cosmic rays will pass close to Earth tonight from 12:30 to 3:30.

The Information published by the Space Weather Prediction Centre (SWPC) on cosmic radiation refutes the claim.

The Information published by the Space Weather Prediction Centre (SWPC) on cosmic radiation refutes the claim.Information by SWPC website states that Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCR) originate outside the solar system and are likely formed by explosive events such as supernova and these particle consist of hydrogen. These charged particles travel with a speed of light, when these particles hit the atmosphere a large shower of a secondary particle will be formed and some particle might reach the ground. Further, it also states that these particles pose a little threat to humans and surroundings as the earth's magnetic field will protect the earth by deflecting these particles away from the equatorial region.

Information by Cosmos website on 17 November 2017 states that Cosmic rays are charged particles such as protons, arrives from deep space at almost the speed of light. It also adds that Earth's magnetic field and atmosphere will protect Earth from Cosmic rays.

Upon doing research we found that this message was first seen in 2014 on The Summit Express website. Thus, we conclude that the claim is false as there is no specific date mentioned.
