Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field. Australia captain Matthew Wade with the help of a half-century (58), Australia scored 194 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. The Indian team then achieved the target with two balls remaining by losing four wickets in 19.4 overs. Hardik Pandya contributed 42 runs, Dhawan scored 52 runs from 36 balls, Sanju Samson scored 15 runs, Captain Virat Kohli scored 40 of 24 runs.
In the 18th and 19th over, Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya managed to get the runs, and as a result, India achieved a victory against Australia by six wickets.
