The Karnataka government has resumed Shramik Special trains for the migrant workers which left from Karnataka to Bihar.

The Karnataka government has resumed Shramik Special trains for the migrant workers which left from Karnataka to Bihar.On 8th May 2020, about 1,200 migrant workers from various parts of Bengaluru left from Mallur Railway station in Bengaluru Division to Danapur in Bihar at 17.45 hrs. On 19th May, Special Shramik train left from Malur railway station to Saharsha in Bihar at 15:15 hours with 1500 adults and 29 children passengers on board.

Therefore, the state Government had arranged to bring these passengers to the stations through BMTC Buses as per the protocol. Trains departed the Stations o­nly after all the passengers were medically examined by the Government of Karnataka and issued a medical certificate. The Special Shramik trains not only transferred the workers to Bihar but also Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Odisha.
