The National Institutes of Health (NIH) on 16 March 2020, in its news release has said that Phase 1 clinical trial of the mRNA-1273 vaccine has begun at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) in Seattle and the open-label trial will enrol 45 healthy adult volunteers aged between 18 to 55 years for approximately over 6 weeks. The first participant had received the investigational vaccine.
