The locals in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district were filmed using temporary bridges that are dangerous to cross in the monsoon season.Several people in the Chamoli district were captured on video crossing the river through a rough bridge, and a fallen tree used as a flyover. The bridges are dangerous in the rainy season as they are at a high chance of collapsing because of the water pressure.

Locals claimed that they were not getting enough daily rations due to the damage, and hence people were risking their lives for traveling across it. However, the District Magistrate of Chamoli, Swati S Bhadoriya, has stated that people were doing it for adventure despite having two other ways to cross the river.
