The 34-year-old Bollywood actor was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. The Mumbai Police said he died by suicide and began investigating whether he was driven to suicide by clinical depression or due to rivalries in the film industry.

Some of his associates, friends, and persons known to him have expressed doubt over the situation in which the body was found. They have speculated that the actor may have been murdered and did not die by suicide.

But Forensic Science Laboratory experts said there was no foul play and was a clear case of suicide. Further, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh said that Sushant Singh had bipolar disorder and was seeking treatment for it. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the case after much deliberation, and the investigation is ongoing. As of now, there is no evidence to confirm whether Sushant was murdered or he died by suicide.
