Former actress Pamela Anderson appealed to Trump to pardon Julian Assange, who is charged in an 18-count superseding indictment.Actress Pamela Anderson is one of Julian Assange's biggest supporter and also visited him several times in London, including at Belmarsh prison in May 2019. Anderson has called on President Donald Trump to pardon Assange. She said she is calling on the president to prove his commitment to free speech by granting a full pardon to the jailed publisher. While speaking to Fox News host Tucker Carlson on January 12, 2020, Anderson claimed that Assange should be pardoned because of freedom of speech. She thinks that the U.S. is endangering the most fundamental system of democracy by accusing Assange of leaking classified information. She called it a defining moment for Trump and claimed that most of the world wants Trump to pardon Assange. Anderson said that if this goes to trial, that's the end of the First Amendment.
