Mumbai police have recorded the statements of over 40 people, including film critic Rajeev Masand, filmmaker Aditya Chopra, and director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the Sushant Rajput suicide case. Apoorva Mehta, the CEO of Dharma Productions who is also Karan's friend was investigated at the Amboli police station on July 28, 2020. The Police also recorded his statements during the inquiry. Meanwhile, the Santa Cruz police have recorded filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's statement in connection with Rajput's death.
