The Karnataka government will not be extending the lockdown anywhere in Karnataka from July 22.Addressing people of the state through social media, the Chief Minister, B.S Yediyurappa, said that the lockdown was not a solution to prevent COVID-19. He further said that there would be no lockdown in Bengaluru or anywhere else in the state from July 22, and people need to get back to their livelihoods. He added that the state has to think about rejuvenating the economy. However, strict regulation of containment zones would continue. He also requested everyone to ensure social distancing in public places and requested everyone to wear masks.
