A video from Pakistan shows the Taliban punishing the girl for "immoral behavior." It has been miscaptioned and misattributed to be from Afghanistan.
By reverse searching the keyframes from the video, we found it was uploaded in 2009, and the incident happened in the Swat Valley of Pakistan. According to reports, a teenage girl was flogged by Taliban militants publically. She was held down to the ground by two men, and the third man whipped her around 34 times.
The Guardian reported the Taliban spokesman Muslim Khan saying, "She came out of her house with another guy who was not her husband, so we must punish her. There are boundaries you cannot cross."
Several other reports suggested that there were rumors that she had illicit relations with another man, and she was punished for her immoral behavior. However, there was no evidence to support the allegation back then.
Although the Taliban can be seen punishing the girl, the caption and the place of the incident are incorrect.
